കൊല്ക്കത്ത: ഓസ്ട്രേലിയക്കെതിരായ ലോകകപ്പ് സെമിയില് തുടക്കത്തില് തകര്ന്ന ദക്ഷിണാഫ്രിക്കയ്ക്ക് തുണയായത് ഡേവിഡ് മില്ലറുടെ സെഞ്ചുറിയായിരുന്നു. ഒരു ഘട്ടത്തില് നാലിന് 24 റണ്സെന്ന നിലയില് തകര്ന്ന ദക്ഷിണാഫ്രിക്കയെ 212 റണ്സിലെത്തിക്കാന് മില്ലറുടെ ഇന്നിങ്സിന് സാധിച്ചു.
ഇതോടെ ഏകദിന ലോകകപ്പ് നോക്കൗട്ട് മത്സരത്തില് സെഞ്ചുറി നേടുന്ന ആദ്യ ദക്ഷിണാഫ്രിക്കന് താരമെന്ന നേട്ടവും മില്ലര് സ്വന്തമാക്കി. 2015 ലോകകപ്പില് ന്യൂസീലന്ഡിനെതിരേ 82 റണ്സെടുത്ത ഫാഫ് ഡുപ്ലെസിയായിരുന്നു നോക്കൗട്ട് മത്സരങ്ങളിലെ ദക്ഷിണാഫ്രിക്കയുടെ ടോപ് സ്കോറര്. ഇതാണിപ്പോള് മില്ലര് തിരുത്തിയത്.
ഓസീസിനെതിരേ സെഞ്ചുറി നേടിയ മില്ലര് 116 പന്തില് നിന്ന് എട്ട് ഫോറും അഞ്ച് സിക്സുമടക്കം 101 റണ്സെടുത്തു.
