ലെനിന് രാജേന്ദ്രന് സംവിധാനം ചെയ്ത ഇടവപ്പാതി എന്ന ചിത്രത്തിലൂടെയാണ് ഉത്തര സിനിമയില് അരങ്ങേറ്റം കുറിച്ചത്. നടി ഊര്മിള ഉണ്ണിയുടെ മകളാണ്. നയന്ത് മന്ത്, പോ പ്രിന്റ്സ്, രണ്ടാം വരവ് തുടങ്ങിയ ഹ്രസ്വചിത്രങ്ങളും സംവിധാനം ചെയ്തു.
