നഗോയ: ഏഷ്യൻ ഗെയിംസ് വനിതകളുടെ 75 കിലോഗ്രാം ബോക്‌സിങ്ങിൽ സ്വർണ മെഡൽ സ്വന്തമാക്കി ഇന്ത്യയുടെ ലവ്ലിന ബോർഗോഹെയ്ൻ. ഫൈനലിൽ ചൈനയുടെ സിയീ ബാവോയ്‌ക്കെതിരേ ഏകപക്ഷീയമായിരുന്നു (5-0) ലവ്‌ലിനയുടെ വിജയം. 29-ാം ജന്മദിനത്തിലാണ് താരത്തിന്റെ സ്വർണ നേട്ടം.
ഇതോടെ ഏഷ്യൻ ഗെയിംസിൽ സ്വർണമെഡൽ നേടുന്ന രണ്ടാമത്തെ മാത്രം ഇന്ത്യൻ വനിതാ ബോക്‌സറായി ലവ്ലിന മാറി. 2014-ൽ എം.സി. മേരി കോമാണ് ഇതിനുമുമ്പ് ഏഷ്യൻ ഗെയിംസിൽ സ്വർണം നേടിയത്. ലവ്‌ലിനയുടെ രണ്ടാം ഏഷ്യൻ ഗെയിംസ് മെഡലാണിത്.
ടോക്കിയോ ഒളിമ്പിക്‌സിൽ വെങ്കല മെഡൽ നേടിയ ലവ്ലിന, സെമിഫൈനലിൽ കസാഖ്‌സ്താന്റെ ലോക ചാമ്പ്യൻ നതാലിയ ബോഗ്ദാനോവയെ 3-2 എന്ന സ്‌കോറിനാണ് കീഴടക്കിയാണ് ഫൈനലിൽ കടന്നത്. ഇതോടെ തുടർച്ചയായി രണ്ട് ഏഷ്യൻ ഗെയിംസുകളിൽ ഫൈനലിലെത്തുന്ന ആദ്യ ഇന്ത്യൻ വനിതാ ബോക്‌സർ എന്ന ചരിത്രനേട്ടവും താരം സ്വന്തമാക്കിയിരുന്നു.
