മുംബൈ: ദക്ഷിണാഫ്രിക്കയ്ക്കെതിരായ ട്വന്റി-20 പരമ്പരയ്ക്കും ഇംഗ്ലണ്ടിനെതിരായ ഒരു ടെസ്റ്റിനുമുള്ള ഇന്ത്യന് ടീമിനെ പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചു. ദക്ഷിണാഫ്രിക്കയ്ക്കെതിരേ ഇന്ത്യയില് നടക്കുന്ന പരമ്പരയ്ക്കുള്ള 18 അംഗ ടീമിനേയാണ് തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തത്.
ഐപിഎല്ലില് മികച്ച പ്രകടനം പുറത്തെടുത്ത പേസ് ബൗളര്മാരായ ഉമ്രാന് മാലിക്കും അര്ഷദീപ് സിങ്ങുമാണ് ടീമിലെ പുതുമുഖങ്ങള്. വെറ്ററന് വിക്കറ്റ് കീപ്പര് ദിനേശ് കാര്ത്തിക്കും ഫിറ്റ്നെസും ഫോമും വീണ്ടെടുത്ത ഓള്റൗണ്ടര് ഹാര്ദിക് പാണ്ഡ്യയും ടീമില് തിരിച്ചെത്തി. കാര്ത്തിക്കിനൊപ്പം വിക്കറ്റ് കീപ്പറായി ഋഷഭ് പന്തും ടീമിലുണ്ട്. അതേസമയം, മലയാളി താരം സഞ്ജു സാംസണ് ടീമില് ഇടം നേടിയില്ല.
സീനിയര് താരങ്ങള്ക്ക് വിശ്രമം അനുവദിച്ച പരമ്പരയില് കെ.എല് രാഹുലാണ് ഇന്ത്യന് ടീമിനെ നയിക്കുക. ക്യാപ്റ്റന് രോഹിത് ശര്മ, മുന് ക്യാപ്റ്റന് വിരാട് കോലി, പേസ് ബൗളര് ജസ്പ്രീത് ബുംറ എന്നിവര്ക്കാണ് വിശ്രമം നല്കിയിരിക്കുന്നത്.
ജൂണ് ഒമ്പതിനാണ് ഇന്ത്യയും ദക്ഷിണാഫ്രിക്കയും തമ്മിലുള്ള അഞ്ചു ട്വന്റി-20 മത്സരങ്ങള് അടങ്ങിയ പരമ്പര തുടങ്ങുന്നത്. ദക്ഷിണാഫ്രിക്കയുടെ 16 അംഗ ടീമിനെ നേരത്തെ പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചിരുന്നു. ടെംബ ബവുമയാണ് അവരുടെ ക്യാപ്റ്റന്.
ഇംഗ്ലണ്ടിനെതിരേ ബെര്മിങ്ഹാമില് ജൂലൈ ഒന്നിനാണ് ടെസ്റ്റ് മത്സരം നടക്കുന്നത്. കഴിഞ്ഞ വര്ഷം നടന്ന പരമ്പരയിലെ അഞ്ചാം ടെസ്റ്റ് കോവിഡ് മൂലം മാറ്റിയിരുന്നു. ആ ടെസ്റ്റ് മത്സരമാണ് ബെര്മിങ്ഹാമില് നടക്കുക. നിലവില് ഇന്ത്യ 2-1ന് മുന്നിലാണ്.
ടെസ്റ്റിനായി ഇന്ത്യ 17 അംഗ ടീമിനേയാണ് പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചത്. കൗണ്ടി ചാമ്പ്യന്ഷിപ്പില് മികച്ച പ്രകടനം പുറത്തെടുത്ത ചേതേശ്വര് പൂജാര ടീമില് തിരിച്ചെത്തി. രോഹിത് ശര്മയാണ് ഇന്ത്യയെ നയിക്കുക.
