ന്യൂഡല്‍ഹി: ഡല്‍ഹിയില്‍ എംപിമാരുടെ ഫ്‌ളാറ്റില്‍ തീപ്പിടിത്തം. ബിഡി മാര്‍ഗിലെ ബ്രഹ്‌മപുത്ര അപ്പാര്‍ട്ട്‌മെന്റിലാണ് ശനിയാഴ്ച ഉച്ചയോടെ തീപ്പിടിത്തമുണ്ടായത്. അഗ്നിരക്ഷാസേനയെത്തി തീയണയ്ക്കാനുള്ള ശ്രമങ്ങള്‍ തുടരുകയാണ്.
അഗ്നിരക്ഷാസേനയുടെ ആറ് യൂണിറ്റുകള്‍ സ്ഥലത്തെത്തി രക്ഷാപ്രവര്‍ത്തനം നടത്തുകയാണെന്ന് വാര്‍ത്താ ഏജന്‍സിയായ എഎന്‍ഐ റിപ്പോര്‍ട്ട്‌ചെയ്തു.
1.22-ഓടെയാണ് അഗ്നിരക്ഷാസേനയിലേക്ക് അപകടവിവരം അറിയിച്ചുള്ള ഫോണ്‍വിളിയെത്തിയത്. ബ്രഹ്‌മപുത്ര അപ്പാര്‍ട്ട്‌മെന്റിന്റെ ബേസ്‌മെന്റില്‍നിന്നാണ് തീ പടര്‍ന്നതെന്നാണ് വിവരം. ഇത് പിന്നീട് ഒന്നാംനിലയിലേക്കും രണ്ടാംനിലയിലേക്കും ആളിപ്പടരുകയായിരുന്നു.
രാജ്യസഭാ എംപിമാരും എംപിമാരുടെ സ്റ്റാഫുകളും താമസിക്കുന്ന അപ്പാര്‍ട്ട്‌മെന്റിലാണ് തീപ്പിടിത്തമുണ്ടായത്. അപകടസമയത്ത് ഫ്‌ളാറ്റുകളില്‍ ആരും താമസമുണ്ടായിരുന്നില്ലെന്നാണ് സൂചന. പാര്‍ലമെന്റ് സമ്മേളനമില്ലാത്തതിനാല്‍ എംപിമാരോ ഇവരുടെ സ്റ്റാഫ് അംഗങ്ങളോ ഇവിടെയില്ലെന്നാണ് പറയുന്നത്.
