ഓരോ തവണ ഭീഷണി സന്ദേശം ലഭിക്കുമ്പോഴും വിമാന കമ്പനികള്‍ക്ക് പാഴാകുന്നത് കോടികളാണ്. ആഭ്യന്തര വിമാന സര്‍വീസിന് ശരാശരി ഒന്നരക്കോടിയും അന്താരാഷ്ട്ര സര്‍വീസിന് അഞ്ചുമുതല്‍ അഞ്ചരക്കോടി രൂപയും ചെലവ് വരുമെന്നാണ് കണക്കാക്കുന്നത്. സർവീസ് തടസ്സപ്പെട്ടാല്‍ വിവിധ കാരണങ്ങളാല്‍ ഏകദേശം മൂന്നരക്കോടി രൂപയുടെ നഷ്ടമുണ്ടാകും. വലിയ വിമാനങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് ചെലവേറും. ഇങ്ങനെ 170-ലധികം സര്‍വീസ് തടസ്സപ്പെട്ടതോടെ നഷ്ടം ഏകദേശം 600 കോടിയിലെത്തിയെന്നാണ് റിപ്പോര്‍ട്ട്.

When a threat occurs mid-flight, the standard procedure is to make an emergency landing and conduct checks. To safely land, excess fuel must be dumped. For planes carrying up to 130 tons of fuel, over 100 tons may be discarded to make a safe landing, causing losses of over ₹1 crore. Additional costs, including emergency landing charges, accommodation for passengers, and replacement of ground staff and crew, push the total loss to around ₹3.5 crore per incident, and experts suggest it could even reach ₹10 crore in some cases. Environmental pollution from fuel dumping and the inconvenience to passengers are additional concerns.
