സിഡ്നി: തൊണ്ടവേദന അനുഭവപ്പെട്ട ന്യൂസീലന്ഡ് പേസ് ബൗളര് ലോക്കി ഫെര്ഗൂസന് കോവിഡ്-19 ഭീതിയെ തുടര്ന്നുള്ള ഹെല്ത്ത് പ്രോട്ടോക്കോളിന്റെ ഭാഗമായി നിരീക്ഷണത്തില്.
കഴിഞ്ഞ ദിവസം സിഡ്നിയില് ഓസ്ട്രേലിയക്കെതിരായ ഒന്നാം ഏകദിനത്തിനു ശേഷമാണ് താരം തൊണ്ടവേദന അനുഭവപ്പെടുന്നതായി അറിയിച്ചത്. താരം 24 മണിക്കൂര് നിരീക്ഷണത്തില് തുടരും.
നിലവിലെ സാഹചര്യത്തില് ഹെല്ത്ത് പ്രോട്ടോകോള് അനുസരിച്ച് ഫെര്ഗൂസനെ ടീം ഹോട്ടലില് തന്നെ 24 മണിക്കൂര് നിരീക്ഷണത്തില് പാര്പ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുകയാണെന്ന് ന്യൂസീലന്ഡ് ക്രിക്കറ്റ് വക്താവ് അറിയിച്ചു. താരത്തിന്റെ പരിശോധനാ ഫലങ്ങള് ലഭിച്ച ശേഷം ബാക്കി കാര്യങ്ങള് തീരുമാനിക്കുമെന്നും വക്താവ് കൂട്ടിച്ചേര്ത്തു.
നേരത്തെ കൊറോണ വൈറസ് ബാധയുടെ പശ്ചാത്തലത്തില് ഓസ്ട്രേലിയ - ന്യൂസീലന്ഡ് ഒന്നാം ഏകദിനം അടച്ചിട്ട സ്റ്റേഡിയത്തിലാണ് നടന്നത്.
