കരിങ്കുന്നം(ഇടുക്കി): ഒരേ ബെഞ്ചിലിരുന്ന് പഠിച്ചു വളർന്ന് ഒരേ വിദ്യാലയത്തിൽ അധ്യാപകരായി. ഇപ്പോൾ ഒരേ ദിവസം ഔദ്യോഗിക ജീവിതത്തിൽനിന്ന് വിരമിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു. കരിങ്കുന്നം സെയ്ന്റ് അഗസ്റ്റിൻ ഹയർ സെക്കൻഡറി സ്കൂളിലെ ഡോ. നിമ്മിച്ചൻ ജേക്കബ്, സോയി തോമസ്, സൈജു മാണി എന്നീ അധ്യാപകരാണ് ദീർഘകാലത്തെ സേവനത്തിനുശേഷം ഒരുമിച്ചിറങ്ങിയത്.
വിദ്യാർഥികളായിരിക്കുമ്പോൾ തുടങ്ങിയ സൗഹൃദമാണ് മൂവരെയും കാൽനൂറ്റാണ്ടോളം ഒന്നിപ്പിച്ചത്. 1985-ൽ എസ്.എസ്.എൽ.സി. പഠനം പൂർത്തിയാക്കി ഈ വിദ്യാലയത്തിൽനിന്ന് പിരിഞ്ഞ ഇവർ, കോളേജ് വിദ്യാഭ്യാസത്തിനുശേഷം 1998-ൽ ഇതേ സ്കൂളിൽ അധ്യാപകരായി വീണ്ടും ഒന്നിച്ചു. സ്കൂളിൽ ആദ്യമായി പ്ലസ് ടു ബാച്ച് അനുവദിച്ചപ്പോൾ അതിന്റെ മുൻനിരയിൽ പ്രവർത്തിക്കാൻ സാധിച്ചത് വലിയൊരു നിയോഗമായി ഇവർ കരുതുന്നു.
കെമിസ്ട്രി അധ്യാപകനും ഗ്രന്ഥരചയിതാവുമായ ഡോ. നിമ്മിച്ചൻ ജേക്കബ് ഗവേഷണ തത്പരൻകൂടിയാണ്. ഗണിതശാസ്ത്ര അധ്യാപകരായ സോയി തോമസും സൈജു മാണിയും വിദ്യാർഥികളുടെ അക്കാദമിക് നിലവാരം ഉയർത്താനും വ്യക്തിത്വ രൂപവത്കരണത്തിനും മുൻതൂക്കം നൽകി.
കൃത്യതയും ശാസനയും ചേർന്ന അധ്യാപന രീതിയിലൂടെ വിദ്യാർഥികളെ മാനസികമായി കരുത്തുറ്റവരാക്കാൻ സോയി തോമസ് ശ്രദ്ധ ചെലുത്തിയപ്പോൾ, സ്നേഹസൗഹൃദപരമായ സമീപനത്തിലൂടെ വിദ്യാർഥികളുടെ സുഹൃത്തായി മാറാൻ സൈജു മാണിക്ക് സാധിച്ചു. ഔദ്യോഗിക ജീവിതത്തിൽനിന്ന് വിരമിച്ചാലും ഓൺലൈൻ പഠനക്ലാസുകളിലൂടെയും മോട്ടിവേഷൻ ക്ലാസുകളിലൂടെയും അധ്യാപനരംഗത്ത് തുടരാനാണ് മൂവരുടെയും തീരുമാനം.
