ന്യൂഡല്ഹി: അടുത്ത മാസം ഇസ്ലാമാബാദില് നടക്കുന്ന സെന്ട്രല് ഏഷ്യന് വോളിബോള് ചാമ്പ്യന്ഷിപ്പില് പങ്കെടുക്കാനുള്ള സംഘത്തെ പിന്വലിച്ച് ഇന്ത്യ. ഞായറാഴ്ച പാകിസ്താന് വോളിബോള് ഫെഡറേഷനാണ് ഇന്ത്യ വോളിബോള് സംഘത്തെ പിന്വലിച്ചതായി അറിയിച്ചത്.
മേയ് 28-ന് ജിന്ന കോംപ്ലക്സില് ആരംഭിക്കുന്ന ചാമ്പ്യന്ഷിപ്പിനായി 22 കളിക്കാര് ഉള്പ്പെടെ 30 അംഗ ടീമിനെ അയയ്ക്കുമെന്ന് ഇന്ത്യ അറിയിച്ചിരുന്നതായി പാകിസ്താന് വോളിബോള് ഫെഡറേഷന് ഉദ്യോഹസ്ഥന് അബ്ദുള് അഹാദ് പറഞ്ഞു. എന്നാല് ഏപ്രില് 22-ന് പഹല്ഗാമില് നടന്ന ഭീകരാക്രമണത്തില് 26 വിനോദസഞ്ചാരികള് കൊല്ലപ്പെട്ടതിനെ തുടര്ന്ന് ഇരു രാജ്യങ്ങളും തമ്മിലുള്ള നയതന്ത്ര ബന്ധം വഷളായിരുന്നു. ഇതോടെയാണ് വോളിബോള് സംഘത്തെ പിന്വലിക്കാന് ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട അധികൃതര് തീരുമാനിച്ചത്.
ടൂര്ണമെന്റിനായി നല്കിയ എന്ഒസി സര്ക്കാര് റദ്ദാക്കിയതായി ഇന്ത്യന് വോളിബോള് ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥര് അറിയിച്ചതായി അബ്ദുള് അഹാദ് പറഞ്ഞു.
