തൃശ്ശൂര്: വയനാട് ദുരന്തത്തിന്റെ പശ്ചാത്തലത്തില് തൃശ്ശൂര് കോര്പ്പറേഷന്റെ നേതൃത്വത്തില് നടത്താനിരുന്ന എല്ലാ ഓണാഘോഷ പരിപാടികളും ഒഴിവാക്കി. മേയര് എം.കെ. വര്ഗീസ് അധ്യക്ഷതയില് ചേര്ന്ന കക്ഷിനേതാക്കളുടെ യോഗത്തിലാണ് തീരുമാനം.
കോര്പ്പറേഷന്തല ഓണാഘോഷം, ഡിവിഷന് തല കുമ്മാട്ടി, പുലിക്കളി ഉള്പ്പെടെയുള്ള ഓണാഘോഷങ്ങള് ഇത്തവണയുണ്ടാവില്ല. ദുരന്തത്തില് ജീവന് നഷ്ടപ്പെട്ടവര്ക്കുള്ള ആദരസൂചകമായി കോര്പ്പറേഷന് ജനപ്രതിനിധികളും ഉന്നതഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥരും ഓണാഘോഷപരിപാടികളുടെ ഭാരവാഹിത്വത്തില്നിന്ന് ഒഴിഞ്ഞുനില്ക്കണമെന്നും മേയര് അഭ്യര്ഥിച്ചു.
