ഗ്ലാസ്ഗോ: ഹാട്രിക് തികച്ച മീരാബായി ചാനുവിന്റെ ബലത്തിൽ കോമൺവെൽത്ത് ഗെയിംസിൽ ഇന്ത്യയ്ക്ക് ആദ്യ സ്വർണം. വനിതകളുടെ 48 വിഭാഗം ഭാരോദ്വഹനത്തിലാണ് ഗെയിംസ് റെക്കാഡോടെ മീരാബായ് സ്വർണം നേടിയത്. മീരയുടെ തുടർച്ചയായ മൂന്നാം കോമൺവെൽത്ത് ഗെയിംസ് സ്വർണമാണിത്. സ്നാച്ചിലും ക്ലീൻ ആൻഡ് ജെർക്കിലുമായി 190 കിലോഗ്രാം ഉയർത്തിയാണ് മീര സ്വർണം നേടിയത്. ഇതിൽ സ്നാച്ചിൽ ഉയർത്തിയ 85 കിലോഗ്രാം പുതിയ ഗെയിംസ് റെക്കോഡാണ്. ആദ്യ ശ്രമത്തിൽ 82 കിലോഗ്രാം ഉയർത്തുന്നതിൽ പരാജയപ്പെട്ട മീര പിന്നീട് രണ്ടാം ശ്രമത്തിലാണ് 85 കിലോഗ്രാം ഉയർത്തിയ ഗെയിംസ് റെക്കോഡ് സൃഷ്ടിച്ചത്. ക്ലീൻ ആൻഡ് ജർക്കിൽ 105 കിലോഗ്രാമാണ് മീര ഉയർത്തിയത്.
