ചെന്നൈ: വിജയ് ചിത്രം ‘ജനനായകൻ’ ചോർന്ന കേസിലെ മുഖ്യപ്രതി മദ്രാസ് ഹൈക്കോടതിയിൽ മുൻകൂർ ജാമ്യാപേക്ഷ സമർപ്പിച്ചു. തിരുവേർകോട്ടം സ്വദേശിയായ ഉമാ ശങ്കർ എന്നയാളാണ് ഹർജി സമർപ്പിച്ചത്.
തനിക്ക് സിനിമാമേഖലയുമായി യാതൊരു ബന്ധവുമില്ലെന്നും കള്ളക്കേസിൽ കുടുക്കുകയായിരുന്നെന്നും സിനിമ ഇന്റർനെറ്റിൽ പ്രചരിപ്പിച്ചതിൽ തനിക്ക് യാതൊരു പങ്കുമില്ലെന്നും യഥാർഥകുറ്റവാളികളെ സംരക്ഷിക്കാൻ പോലീസ് കേസെടുക്കുകയായിരുന്നെന്നും ഹർജിയിൽ പറയുന്നു. ഇതിൽ വാദം കേട്ട ജസ്റ്റിസ് സി. കുമരപ്പന്റെ ബെഞ്ച് നിർമാതാവിന്റെ അഭിഭാഷകൻ വിജയൻ സുബ്രഹ്മണ്യനിൽനിന്നു മറുപടി തേടി.
എന്നാൽ, അഭിഭാഷകൻ ഉമാശങ്കറിന്റെ വാദം ശക്തമായി എതിർത്തു. കേസിലെ പ്രധാന കുറ്റവാളിയാണ് ഉമാശങ്കറെന്നും സിനിമ നിയമവിരുദ്ധമായി പുറത്തുവിട്ടത് അയാളാണെന്നും കേസിൽ അറസ്റ്റിലായ മറ്റുള്ളവരുടെ മൊഴി പ്രകാരമാണ് ഉമാശങ്കറിനെ പോലീസ് പ്രതിയാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നതെന്നും അദ്ദേഹം വാദിച്ചു. ഹർജിയിൽ തുടർവാദം ഏപ്രിൽ 30-ലേക്ക് മാറ്റി.
