തിരുവനന്തപുരം: പഴയ വാഹനങ്ങൾ പൊളിക്കാനുള്ള അംഗീകൃത കേന്ദ്രങ്ങൾ സംസ്ഥാനത്ത് സജ്ജമായി. സിൽക്കിന്റെ (സ്റ്റീൽ ഇൻഡ്സ്ട്രീസ് കേരള ലിമിറ്റഡ്) ഉടമസ്ഥതയിൽ ചേർത്തല, കണ്ണൂർ അഴീക്കൽ എന്നിവിടങ്ങളിൽ പഴയ വാഹനങ്ങൾ സ്വീകരിച്ചുതുടങ്ങി.
കേന്ദ്ര ഉപരിതല ഗതാഗത മന്ത്രാലയത്തിന്റെ vscrap.parivahan.gov.in/vehiclescrap/vahan/welcome.xhtml എന്ന വെബ്സൈറ്റിലൂടെയാണ് അപേക്ഷിക്കേണ്ടത്. പൊളിക്കൽ കേന്ദ്രം അപേക്ഷകന് തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കാം. രജിസ്ട്രേഷൻ രേഖകൾ സഹിതം വാഹനം പൊളിക്കൽ കേന്ദ്രത്തിൽ എത്തിക്കണം.
ഭാരം കണക്കാക്കി വില നിശ്ചയിച്ച് തുക കൈമാറും. ഉടമയ്ക്ക് സർട്ടിഫിക്കറ്റ് ഓഫ് ഡിപോസിറ്റ് (സി.ഒ.ഡി) നൽകും. ഇതുപയോഗിച്ച് പുതിയ വാഹനം രജിസ്റ്റർ ചെയ്യുമ്പോൾ റോഡ് നികുതിയിൽ 15 ശതമാനം ഇളവ് ലഭിക്കും. റജിസ്ട്രേഷൻ ഫീസും നൽകേണ്ടതില്ല.
