കൊച്ചി: യുവസംവിധായകൻ ബെൽരാജ് കളരിക്കലിനെ (ചെഗു) മരിച്ചനിലയിൽ കണ്ടെത്തി. ജിയോ ഹോട്ട്സ്റ്റാറിൽ സ്ട്രീം ചെയ്യുന്ന 'കാപ്പി സ്‌ക്വാഡ്' എന്ന സീരീസിന്റെ സംവിധായകനാണ്.
നിഴൽ, മധുരം, ഡാകിനി തുടങ്ങി സിനിമകളിൽ സഹ സംവിധായകനായി പ്രവർത്തിച്ച ബെൽരാജിന്റെ ആദ്യ സ്വതന്ത്ര സംവിധാനമായിരുന്നു ‘കാപ്പി സ്‌ക്വാഡ്.’ വെള്ളിയാഴ്ച സീരീസ് സംപ്രേഷണം ആരംഭിച്ചതിന് പിന്നാലെയാണ് വിയോഗവാർത്ത.
കോട്ടയം മണിമല സ്വദേശിയാണ്. കളരിക്കൽ സുരേഷിന്റെയും സ്മിതയുടെയും മകനാണ് ബെൽരാജ്. എറണാകുളത്തെ ഹോട്ടൽ മുറിയിൽ ബെൽരാജിനെ മരിച്ചനിലയിൽ കണ്ടെത്തുകയായിരുന്നു.
ഹൃദയാഘാതമാണ് മരണകാരണമെന്നാണ് പ്രാഥമിക വിവരം. മൃതദേഹം സൺറൈസ് ആശുപത്രിയിലേക്ക് മാറ്റി. കഴിഞ്ഞ സെപ്റ്റംബറിലാണ് ബെൽരാജ് വിവാഹിതനായത്. ആതിരയാണ് ഭാര്യ.
