കേരള പ്രദേശ് കോൺഗ്രസ് കമ്മിറ്റിക്ക് (കെപിസിസി) പുതിയ പ്രസിഡന്റിനെ കണ്ടെത്താനുള്ള ശ്രമത്തിലാണ് കോൺഗ്രസ് ഹൈക്കമാന്റ്. കൊടിക്കുന്നിൽ സുരേഷ് മുതൽ രാജ്മോഹൻ ഉണ്ണിത്താൻവരെ ഭൈമീകാമുകന്മാർ ഒരുപാട് പേരുണ്ട്. ഏറ്റവും അവസാനം കേട്ടത് റവന്യു മന്ത്രി എ.പി. അനിൽകുമാറിന്റെ പേരാണ്. റവന്യു പോലൊരു വകുപ്പ് വിട്ട് കെപിസിസി പ്രസിഡന്റാവുക എന്ന മണ്ടത്തരത്തിന് അനിൽകുമാർ തയ്യാറാവാൻ ഒരു സാദ്ധ്യതയുമില്ല.

കെ.സി. വേണുഗോപാലിനു വേണ്ടിയായാൽപോലും അങ്ങിനെയൊരു ത്യാഗത്തിന് അനിൽകുമാറിനെ കിട്ടാനിടയില്ല. കഴിഞ്ഞ പത്തുകൊല്ലം അധികാരമില്ലാതെ കഴിച്ചുകൂട്ടേണ്ടി വന്നതിന്റെ അസ്‌കിത അനിൽകുമാറിന് അത്ര പെട്ടെന്നൊന്നും മറക്കാനാവില്ല. റവന്യു മന്ത്രി സ്ഥാനത്തേക്ക് അനിൽ കുമാറിന് പകരം ആരെ കൊണ്ടുവരും എന്നതും ചോദ്യമാണ്. വി.ഡി. സതീശന്റെ ക്യാബിനറ്റിൽ തനിക്കുള്ള വിശ്വസ്തനെ ഒഴിവാക്കാൻ കെ.സിക്കും താൽപര്യമുണ്ടാവില്ല. സതീശൻ ക്യാമ്പിനെ വഴിതെറ്റിക്കുക എന്ന ഉദ്ദേശ്യവും അനിൽകുമാറിന്റെ പേര് മുന്നോട്ടുവെയ്ക്കുന്നതിൽ ഉണ്ടായേക്കാം. മറ്റൊരു നിവൃത്തിയുമില്ലെങ്കിൽ മാത്രം കെ.സി. ക്യാമ്പ് ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്ന ബ്രഹ്‌മാസ്ത്രമായിരിക്കും അനിൽകുമാർ.
