‘ചായ വാങ്ങാൻ ലോണെടുക്കണം, 25 രൂപയുടെ പോപ്കോണിന് 300 രൂപവരെ’; തിയേറ്ററിലെ അമിത വിലയ്ക്കെതിരെ മേയർ

മൾട്ടിപ്ലെക്‌സുകളിലും തിയേറ്ററുകളിലും ഭക്ഷണസാധനങ്ങൾക്ക് വൻതുക ഈടാക്കുന്നതിനെതിരെ തിരുവനന്തപുരം കോർപ്പറേഷൻ മേയർ വി.വി. രാജേഷ്. തിയേറ്ററുകളിൽ ഭക്ഷണസാധനങ്ങളുടെ വില നിശ്ചയിക്കുന്നതിൽ നിയന്ത്രണം കൊണ്ടുവരണമെന്ന് അദ്ദേഹം ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടു. തിയേറ്ററുകളിൽ ചായ വാങ്ങിക്കാൻ ലോണെടുക്കേണ്ട അവസ്ഥയാണെന്നും അദ്ദേഹം പരിഹസിച്ചു.

'തിയേറ്ററുകളിൽ ആഹാര സാധനങ്ങൾക്ക് വാങ്ങുന്ന വില വളരെ കൂടുതലാണ്. പുറത്ത് 25- 30 രൂപയ്ക്ക് കിട്ടുന്ന പോപ്‌കോണിന് തിയേറ്ററിൽ 250- 300 രൂപയാണ്. തിയേറ്ററിനകത്ത് അത് കയറിയാൽ അത്ഭുത ലോകത്ത് എത്തിയ പോലെയാണ്', രാജേഷ് കുറ്റപ്പെടുത്തി.

'ചായ വാങ്ങിക്കാൻ ലോണെടുത്ത് പോകേണ്ട അവസ്ഥയാണ്. കൊച്ചുകുട്ടികളുമായി പോവുമ്പോൾ, പോപ്‌കോൺ ഒക്കെ വാങ്ങിക്കണമെങ്കിൽ ആയിരം രൂപയെങ്കിലും ഇല്ലാതെ പോവാൻ കഴിയില്ലെന്നാണ് മാതാപിതാക്കൾ പറയുന്നത്', മേയർ ചൂണ്ടിക്കാട്ടി.

'അത് ആരോഗ്യകരമായ കാര്യമല്ല. വില നിശ്ചയിക്കുന്നത് ഞങ്ങളുടെ പരിധിയിൽ അല്ല. നിയന്ത്രണം വേണം. ശ്രദ്ധയിൽപ്പെടുത്തേണ്ട സ്ഥലത്ത് അത് ചെയ്യും', അദ്ദേഹം വ്യക്തമാക്കി.
