കലോത്സവ വേദികൾ കീഴടക്കാനെത്തുകയാണ് കാസർകോടിന്റെ സ്വന്തമായ മംഗലം കളി. മാവിലൻ-വേട്ടുവ ആദിവാസി സമൂഹങ്ങളുടെ വിവാഹാഘോഷങ്ങളിൽ ഒഴിച്ചുകൂടാനാവാത്ത മംഗലംകളി ആദ്യമായാണ് കലോത്സവ ഇനമായി അവതരിപ്പിക്കുന്നത്. സമുദായത്തിലെ വിവാഹച്ചടങ്ങിന് തലേന്ന് സ്ത്രീകളെല്ലാവരും ചേർന്ന് ആടിപ്പാടിയാണ് മംഗലം കളി കളിക്കുന്നത്. ആടിപ്പാടി ആവേശം കൂടി അവസാനത്തിലേക്കെത്തുമ്പോഴേക്കും സ്വന്തം ദേഹത്ത് അടിച്ചടിച്ചാണ് കളി പുരോഗമിക്കുക. അടിച്ചമർത്തപ്പെട്ട സമുദായങ്ങളുടെ പ്രതിഷേധമായും ഇതിനെ കാണുന്നുണ്ട്.

The dance, which is an integral part of marriage celebrations in these communities. As the dance intensifies, it ends with the women striking themselves, symbolizing protest against the oppression faced by the community.
