ചെന്നൈ: തമിഴ്നാട്ടില് ദുരിതംവിതച്ച ഫെയ്ഞ്ചല് ചുഴലിക്കാറ്റ് ദുര്ബലമായി തീവ്രന്യൂനമര്ദമായി മാറുമെന്ന് കാലാവസ്ഥാ നിരീക്ഷണകേന്ദ്രം. തമിഴ്നാട്ടിലും പുതുച്ചേരിയിലും പലയിടത്തും ശക്തമായ കാറ്റും മഴയും വെള്ളപ്പൊക്കവുമുണ്ടായി. വൈദ്യുതാഘാതമേറ്റ് ചെന്നൈയില് മൂന്നുപേരും പുതുച്ചേരിയില് ഒരാളും മരിച്ചു. വീടുകളിലും ആശുപത്രിയിലുമടക്കം വെള്ളം കയറിയത് ദുരിതത്തിന്റെ തീവ്രതകൂട്ടി. ചെന്നൈ വിമാനത്താവളത്തിന്റെ പ്രവര്ത്തനം നിര്ത്തിവച്ചത് യാത്രക്കാരെ വലച്ചു. ഞായറാഴ്ച പുലര്ച്ചെയാണ് പ്രവര്ത്തനം പുനരാരംഭിച്ചത്. ചുഴലിക്കാറ്റിന്റെ ശക്തികുറഞ്ഞ് വടക്കന് കേരളത്തിലൂടെ അറബിക്കടലില് എത്താനാണ് സാധ്യത. കേരളത്തിലെത്തുന്ന കാറ്റിന് ശക്തിയുണ്ടാകില്ല, എന്നാല് രണ്ടുദിവസം മഴയ്ക്ക് സാധ്യതയുണ്ട്.
