ഫെയ്ഞ്ചൽ: തമിഴ്‌നാട്ടിലെ കൃഷ്ണഗിരി ജില്ലയിൽ വീടുകൾ വെള്ളത്തിനടിയിൽ, വാഹനങ്ങൾ ഒഴുകിപ്പോയി

തമിഴ്‌നാട്ടില്‍ ദുരിതം വിതച്ച് ഫെയ്ഞ്ചല്‍ ചുഴലിക്കാറ്റ്. കനത്തമഴയെ തുടർന്ന് കൃഷ്ണഗിരി ജില്ലയിലെ ഉത്തംഗരൈയില്‍ വെള്ളപ്പൊക്കമുണ്ടായി. 15 മണിക്കൂറോളമാണ് തുടര്‍ച്ചയായി മഴ പെയ്തത്. വീടുകള്‍ വെള്ളത്തിനടിയിലായി, വാഹനങ്ങള്‍ ഒഴുകിപ്പോയി.

പാമ്പാര്‍ അണക്കെട്ടിന്റെ മുഴുവന്‍ ഷട്ടറുകളും തുറന്നു. വെള്ളക്കെട്ടുകളില്‍ നിന്ന് അകലം പാലിക്കണമെന്ന് അധികൃതര്‍ മുന്നറിയിപ്പ് നൽകി. നൂറുകണക്കിനുപേരെ വിവിധ ദുരിതാശ്വാസ ക്യാമ്പുകളിലേക്ക് മാറ്റി. രാഷ്ട്രീയനേതാക്കളും ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥരും ക്യാമ്പുകള്‍ സന്ദര്‍ശിച്ചു.

Continuous rain persisted for 15 hours, submerging homes and sweeping away vehicles. All sluice gates of the Pambar dam were opened, and authorities issued warnings to maintain distance from flooded areas. Hundreds of individuals have been relocated to various relief camps, which have been visited by political leaders and officials.
