യു.എസിൽ കസ്റ്റഡിയിലായിരുന്ന ഇന്ത്യൻ വംശജനായ ഗിറ്റാറിസ്റ്റിന് മോചനം

വിസ കാലാവധി കഴിഞ്ഞും രാജ്യത്ത് തങ്ങിയെന്നാരോപിച്ച് യു.എസ്. ഇമിഗ്രേഷൻ ആൻഡ് കസ്റ്റംസ് എൻഫോഴ്‌സ്‌മെന്റ് (ഐ.സി.ഇ.) കസ്റ്റഡിയിലെടുത്ത ഇന്ത്യൻ വംശജനായ ജാസ് സംഗീതജ്ഞൻ പ്രീതേഷ് വാലിയ മോചിതനായി. 14 ദിവസത്തെ തടങ്കലിന് ശേഷമാണ് ഗിറ്റാറിസ്റ്റും സംഗീത സംവിധായകനുമായ പ്രീതേഷിനെ മോചിപ്പിച്ചത്. കസ്റ്റഡിയിലുണ്ടായ അനുഭവങ്ങൾ തന്നെ എന്നെന്നേക്കുമായി മാറ്റിക്കളഞ്ഞെന്ന് പ്രീതേഷ് പറഞ്ഞു. അടിമുടി തകർന്നുപോയ നിമിഷങ്ങളായിരുന്നു അതെന്നും മോചനത്തിന് ശേഷം പ്രീതേഷ് ഇൻസ്റ്റഗ്രാമിൽ പങ്കുവെച്ച വീഡിയോയിൽ പറഞ്ഞു.

ഓഗസ്റ്റ് രണ്ടിന് ലോസ് ആഞ്ജലിസിൽ തിരിച്ചെത്തിയപ്പോഴാണ് പ്രീതേഷ് വാലിയ അപ്രതീക്ഷിതമായി കസ്റ്റഡിയിലാകുന്നത്. തുടർന്ന് പ്രീതേഷിനെ അഡലാന്റോ ഐ.സി.ഇ. പ്രോസസിങ് സെന്ററിലേക്ക് മാറ്റി.

ജാമ്യം ലഭിച്ച് വീട്ടിൽ തിരിച്ചെത്തിയ അദ്ദേഹം തന്നെ പിന്തുണച്ച ജഡ്ജി, അഭിഭാഷകൻ, കാമുകി, കുടുംബാംഗങ്ങൾ, സംഗീത ലോകത്തെ സുഹൃത്തുക്കൾ എന്നിവർക്ക് നന്ദി അറിയിച്ചു. തടങ്കലിൽ കഴിയുമ്പോൾ പ്രതീക്ഷകൾ അസ്തമിച്ചുപോയെന്നും ഒപ്പമുള്ളവരുടെ പിന്തുണയും സന്ദേശങ്ങളും അതിജീവനത്തിന് കരുത്തായെന്നും പ്രീതേഷ് വ്യക്തമാക്കി.

ഡൽഹിയിൽ ജനിച്ചുവളർന്ന പ്രീതേഷ് വാലിയ 13-ാം വയസ്സിലാണ് സംഗീത പഠനം ആരംഭിക്കുന്നത്. പിന്നീട് ഉന്നതപഠനത്തിനായി അമേരിക്കയിലേക്ക് ചേക്കേറുകയും പ്രമുഖ സംഗീത സ്ഥാപനങ്ങളിൽനിന്ന് ബിരുദങ്ങൾ കരസ്ഥമാക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുകയായിരുന്നു.
