ന്യൂയോര്‍ക്ക്: ലോകത്തെ ഒരു കോടിയിലേറെ കുട്ടികളെ അടിമവേലയ്ക്ക് സമാനമായ ജോലികള്‍ ചെയ്യിക്കുന്നതായി റിപ്പോര്‍ട്ട്. ഇതില്‍ അറുപത്തഞ്ച് ശതമാനവും 5-14 പ്രായക്കാരാണ്. ബാലവേല ചെയ്യുന്നവരില്‍ 71 ശതമാനവും പെണ്‍കുട്ടികളാണെന്ന് അന്താരാഷ്ട്ര തൊഴില്‍സംഘടനയുടെ (ഐ.എല്‍.ഒ) റിപ്പോര്‍ട്ടില്‍ പറയുന്നു. ഈ കുട്ടികളില്‍ പലരും ശാരീരികവും ലൈംഗികവുമായ പീഡനങ്ങള്‍ക്കും ഇരയാകുന്നുണ്ട്. ഇവര്‍ക്ക് വിദ്യാഭ്യാസം നിഷേധിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു. ഇന്ത്യയിലെയും പാകിസ്താനിലെയും നേപ്പാളിലെയും ചില കാഴ്ചകള്‍ . എപി ഫോട്ടോസ്.
