Hundreds of migrant labours stranded in Kashmir floods

Srinagar: Hundreds of migrant workers for the last four days have been stranded outside at the Srinagar airport in the hope to get back to their states safely. Workers from Bihar, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh and Rajathan have come in numbers believing the offer from the authorities of a free-ticket to get back to their homes. Hopeless after waiting for four days many of them seemed infuriated with the lackadaisical attitude the Centre and State Government had taken during the floods. Many of them are even ready to die starving if the desired help doesn’t reach them. It has been estimated that three lakhs of other state workers are stranded in the Kashmir floods.
