Kozhikode: Calicut varsity will witness uproarious scenes in the syndicate meeting scheduled today. VC had incorporated in the earlier minutes that Syndicate members Adv. P M Niyas and Dr. V P Abdul Hameed had colluded with class III & IV employees to indulge in corruption. He also charges the suspended English Department head-in-charge Dr. Umer Thasneem of grave indiscipline. The issue of upgrading the status of 7 Arabic colleges in Malappuram and 2 in Kozhikode districts will add to the turmoil. Several teachers’ organisations have approached the Governor against the VC. However, VC says that the Governor, CM and Muslim League ministers including the Industries minister are with him.
