Plus Two: Government denies Education Secretary’s suggestion

Thiruvananthapuram: The government denied the Education Secretaries suggestion to approach apex court against the verdict of the High Court in Plus Two case. They recommended permitting extra batches for required districts and no need to allow new schools. The Public Education Special Secretary A Shajahan and Additional Secretary P M Thomas gave this recommendation during a cabinet meeting last June. Both recommended implementing the earlier order of the government as the Plus Two schools will bring in burden to the government. But the government rejected all these and moved forward on Plus Two decision.
