Kochi: Forest officials helped the main accused in the blackmail sleaze case Jayachandran visit Edamalakkudi tribal settlement colony in interior Munnar. This has revealed in an inquiry conducted by Chief Conservator of Forests V Gopinath, as instructed by Forest Minister Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan, into the circumstances under which Jayachandran was allowed to “use the Forest Department’s vehicle to travel to Edamalakkudi in July 2012,” on the pretext of implementing a solar project. The then Forest Range Officer, Joshy Sebastian helped Jayachandran and others to visit Edamalakkudi and allowed an official jeep for group travel.
