Police registers case in connection with Maoist presence

Palakkad: Police have registered three cases regarding the Maoists presence in the Attapadi forest region. The special combing force of Kerala police, Thunderbolt has been probing the region for any presence of Maoists based on local people claim that they have spotted some strangers in the region. Agaly police have taken UAPA against eight people including two women. Police have registered Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA) or Arms Act against those people as the locals have identified them in the look-out notice.
