City Service Co-op Bank’s cycle distribution initiative

Kozhikode: In a model worthy of emulation as a non-polluting mode of transport and promoting healthy living, City Service Cooperative Bank is set to supply bi-cycles to school students within city limits. Interest-free loans of upto re. 5,000 without collateral will be provided initially to 5,000 students out of a targeted 75,000. All that the students have to do is to submit an application attested by the principal. The first phase was inaugurated by N Shanker Reddy, ADGP, North Zone at BEM Girls HSS. Bank chairperson C N Vijayakrishnan complimented the children for opting for this green alternative, which also will help in de-congesting roads.
