Deaf Film Festival sees more participants in its 2nd year

Kozhikode: Is it possible for the hearing impaired to appreciate the qualities of a movie? The 2nd Indian International Deaf Film Festival 2014 at Tagore centenary hall here would set at rest any doubts on this score. More than 600 delegates are participating in the event being held on 5th & 6th July, jointly organised by Kovai-based Deaf Leader’s Foundation, Bengaluru CBM and Pattambi National Deaf Family Care. 52 Indian films and 8 foreign films are being screened in International Cinema, Country Focus and Retrospective categories. The festival is getting more popular by the year says organiser Sneha, and is being conducted in the state for the first time.
