Audit finds corruption in KSLMA

Pathanamthitta: The audit report of the Kerala State Literacy Mission Authority points major corruption and lapse of functioning of the organisation. The general council meeting which is to be convened once a year is not convened for last three years consecutively. The audit finds amount spend for nearly rupees 40 crore is not documented. The fees worth Rs. 26 lakhs for attending the Classes IV, VII and Xth Equivalency programme was also not remitted to the Pareeksha Bhavan. The audit team also found irregularities in printing books and purchasing a building at Munnar for Training and Research. There are also allegations in appointments done at KSLMA.
