Danger wrapped in the form of ‘roundup’ pesticide

Kozhikode: Usage of pesticide ‘roundup’ is prevalent in Kozhikode rubber estates. The pesticide usage leads to various health issues apart from contaminating Panoor River. The other state employees are used in estates to sprinkle ‘roundup’ pesticide. This pesticide is used in acres of land. The pesticide kills even the grass and the owners use it neglecting the protest of natives. Though people informed health department they failed to come for inquiry. ‘Roundup’ is a red category pesticide which is highly poisonous than endosulfan. But according to Health Department in Kozhikode ‘roundup’ is not dangerous.
