Wedding bells for Mahila Mandiram inmates

Kozhikode: Subha, Dhanalakshmi and Sreekutty of Mahila Mandiram government orphanage are getting married later this week. Balan, Rakshith and Prajith have chosen them as partners for life. People from various walks of life gathered in a joyous atmosphere to felicitate the brides-to-be. According to Thankappan, managing committee member, all nubile inmates have been married off. Only if new inmates come from Girls Home can weddings happen. Superintendant M C Molly disclosed that this UDF govt has increased the amount provided for wedding expenses to re. 50,000 from the earlier re. 10, 000. Generous souls provide the rest for buying ornaments and bridal finery.
