Smriti Irani asks DU to reinstate suspended officials

New Delhi: The HRD minister Smriti Irani seeks revocation of suspension of five Delhi University non-teaching staff. They were suspended for allegedly leaking the documents regarding Smriti Irani's undergraduate admission and admit card following controversy over her educational qualification. Smriti twitted that as a public servant her life should be open to scrutiny and criticism. She added that as Delhi University is an autonomous institution, she had put forth a personal request to the Vice Chancellor to reinstate the officials. Meanwhile Delhi University Teacher's Association and Congress questioned the suspension without inquiry.
