SC to pronounce verdict on Mullaperiyar tomorrow

New Delhi: After a long, legal battle the Supreme Court will proclaim the final verdict in Mullaperiyar case on Wednesday. The five-judge constitution bench headed by chief justice R M Lodha will pronounce the final verdict on the case tomorrow morning at 10.30. It was in the year 2006 that the case regarding the increase in the water level in the Mulaperiyar has come in front of the apex court. Tamilnadu challenged the law passed by the state government in fixing the water level of the dam to 136 saying it is against the supreme court order. The final hearing into case had been completed since last year July 23.
