Villagers to boycott poll

Thamarassery: The natives of Kattipara here this time will not cast their vote. The decision of the villagers to boycott the forthcoming elections have come after the authorities failing to meet their repeated pleas against an illegal quarry and crushing unit working in the region. According to them, the quarry is posing them with water scarcity and health related issues. The villagers also allege that the quarry is run by a local CPI(M) leader who gets support from a minister.
