SC stays TN’s move to release Rajiv Assassins

New Delhi: The movement to free the Rajiv Gandhi killers by the Tamil Nadu government gets back lash. The Supreme Court stayed the TN’s decision. The apex court issued notice on Centre’s plea that TN government is not allowed to remit the sentences of Rajiv Gandhi’s killers. According to the centre government Rajiv’s killers were found guilty under Arms Act and Foreigners Act under which only the Centre has chief control. The Vellore prison authorities and TN government were asked by the court not to release the convicts till March 6.
