T'puram: Minister for Cultural Affairs AK Balan said that the delegate fee for the International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK) has been raised to Rs 2000. The fest will be organised on a low budget due to the financial crunch following the recent floods in Kerala. It has also been decided to do away with the lifetime achievement award worth Rs 10 lakh. The government had decided against hosting the fest at first as the state was badly affected by the recent floods. But later, it was decided to organise it without much fanfare.
