Three trains for Kerala in the interim rail budget

New Delhi: Amid uproar in Parliament over the Telengana issue, Railway Minister Mallikarjun Kharge presented the interim rail budget. The rail budget before the Lok Sabha elections presented in the Parliament has handful of projects. There will be no increase in railway charge. The two month life budget promises 72 new trains which include 38 express trains, 17 premium trains, 10 passengers, 4 memus and 3 demus. Kerala gets three trains from the 72 new ones. There was no mention of Palakkad Coach Factory in any part of the budget. Kerala gets one premium train-TVPM-Eswanthpur express. Another is daily train service of Punalur-Kanyakumari train. Nizhamuddin will conduct service twice in Kerala through Kottayam and Allappuzh
