Salary Challenge: 9 Policemen Transfered

T'Puram: The controversies surrounding the salary challenge is still continuing, with the allegations that the Havildars of Thiruvananthapuram battalion who gave no-consent letter were transferred en masse. It is alleged that nine Havildars were transferred from Thiruvananthapuram to Malappuram. However, the official explanation claimed it was not an act of revenge. Those who gave a no-consent letter declining the salary challenge to contribute one month’ s salary to the flood relief fund were transferred. All of the transferred officials are in senior positions. Though there are about 40 junior officers in service, none of them were considered for the transfer.
