Kuttanad floods: Normal life comes to a halt

Alappuzha: It is the lives of the natives of Kuttanad that still remain water-logged in the district's biggest monsoon wrath. The women and children, are the ones who are suffering the most. The natives who had left their homes days before, still have no idea when they would be able to come back. The others staying in the relief camps cannot enter their homes unless the water recedes and they continue to hardly live with limited facilities. The flood waters would recede only if the broken bunds are repaired. The natives still are in a dilemma of what would be the state of their homes after the water recedes.
