Civil Supplies Dept gets control over ration card software

T'puram: The National Informatics Centre (NIC) has reached an agreement with the state government to hand over the control over the ration card software to the civil supplies department. Mathrubhumi News recently aired a news item pointing out that as the online system was not functional, applications were piling up. The ration card management system was under the control of the NIC and the civil supplies department had no access and control over it.
