Police slavery: CM warns police top brass

Thiruvananthapuram: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has warned the police officials in connection with the controversy over incidents of top officials in the department treating subordinates like slaves. The Chief Minister, in the meeting of top police officials, said,“the police should follow the rules. Kerala is a state that upholds the highest democratic values. Police also should function in accordance with the values. Superior officers should oversee this. Policemen who have been put on special duty under top police officials should be recalled,” Pinarayi said.
