T'puram: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Monday promised strict action against slave treatment in the police department. Pinarayi said that the government will take stern action against those officials, no matter how big they are, who defy the directions of the government in this regard. The Chief Minister was responding to MLA Sabarinathan's submission in the Assembly. "A case has been registered against the ADGP Sudesh Kumar’s daughter at the Thiruvananthapuram Museum police station on the basis of the statement of police driver Gavaskar that the ADGP’s daughter assaulted him and prevented him from discharging his official duty. The case is being investigated by the Crime Branch ADGP, " the chief minister said.
