Thuruthy SC/ST residents plan for protest March to Assembly

Kannur: The residents of the schedule caste colony at Thuruthy in Kannur, plan to go on a march to the Legislative Assembly on 18th of this month. Many Dalit organisations would be a part of this march. The strike organised against repairing the faulty road alignment from Keecheri to Pappinisseri, has reached the 45th day. The scheduled castes say that they are made the victims in the move to safeguard many private companies. The protesters said that they felt disappointed as their MLA had not raised this issue in the assembly.
