Endosulfan-afflicted protest continues

Thiruvananthapuram: The gruel-kitchen mode of protest under the aegis of the Endosulfan-Afflicted People’s Front in front of CM’s official residence entered the second day. Mothers and children are agitating against the government reneging on its promise. Leaders are unwilling to call off the protest taking the CM at his word. They are willing to enter into negotiations with the government on the issue. Meanwhile, Leader of the Opposition V S Achuthanandan came to express solidarity with the protestors. The CM said in the Assembly that after getting the report from the district Collector, a decision will be taken on writing off of the loans of the afflicted.
