Has Yechury won in the party congress?
The CPM party congress came to a close in Hyderabad after wounding the only chief minister of the party and the unit with the highest number of party members and elected representatives. They return to Kerala with after suffering the mortification that they had to change the Karat line on electoral understanding with the Congress party. Despite not having the support of the majority, Yechury faction could get its alternate line passed and could stand its ground in the election to the PB and CC. The Karat faction could not even attempt to pull down Yechury from the general secretary post. Has Yechury won in the party congress?
