Kochi: This is the first time that a governor sends back a bill passed by an Assembly unanimously. So, Governor P Sathasivam had taken special care to see that there is no confrontation with the state government on the issue. Not only that, he convinced the government of the reasons why he couldn't approve the bill. That is why the government informed the governor that it doesn't intend to issue an ordinance or legislate for regularising the admissions to Kannur, Karuna medical colleges. Now, the government is of the opinion that let the Supreme Court decide on the future of 180 medical students.
