Kerala spent over Rs 83 lakh to renovate Ministers’ banglows

Thiruvananthapuram: At a time when the state is facing acute financial crisis, the government shelled out Rs 82.35 lakh to renovate the residences of Ministers. E P Jayarajan, who held the minister’s post just for five months, tops the list while Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan is in the third position. The government spent Rs 13,18,937 for the renovation of Xanadu bungalow where E P Jayarajan was staying when he was the Industries and Sports Minister. Devaswom Minister Kadakampally Surendran is in the second position spending Rs 12,42,672 for the renovation of his official residence Thaikkad House.
