Nod to raise height of Kunnar dam; relief for Sabarimala

Pathanamthitta: Permission has been given to raise the height of Kunnar dam, thereby solving the drinking water shortage in Sabarimala. The High Court has allowed the Travancore Devaswom Board to raise the height by 2.5 metres to 6 metres. The capacity of the dam would go up from 4 million lakh litres to 5 million lakh litres. The board would implement the court order, said TDB president A Padmakumar.
