Palmolein corruption case setback: who’s guilty? @Big Debate

Vigilance Court Special Judge and Enquiry Commissioner K Haripal dealt a blow to the UDF by rejecting the withdrawal petition in the palmolein graft case dating to 1992 when K Karunakaran was Chief Minister. The court held that it went against public interest and was not moved in good faith. CM Oommen Chandy said the judgment has not expressed any lack of faith in the government. Leader of the Opposition, V S Achutanandan claimed it as a victory of his protracted struggle against corruption. News@9 has the accused former minister T H Mustafa, petitioner VS Sunil Kumar MLA of CPI, Government Chief Whip P C George and journalist Sunnykutty Abraham.
