Former Bishop Dr. Maxwell Valentine Noronha passes away

Kozhikode: Kozhikode Diocese former Bishop Dr. Maxwell Valentine Noronha passed away on Sunday at 11.20 pm. He was 93. He was under treatment in a private hospital in Kozhikode. He was born on February 14, 1924 as the son of Ambrose and Jessy of Noronha family in Vadakara. His education was completed from Vadakara, Azhiyoor, Payyoli and Mahe. He completed his BA from Mangalore St. Aloysius College and seminary graduation from Mangalore and Sri Lanka. He received priestly ordination in 1952. He completed his higher education in Rome from 1957 to 1962. He had been a teacher at Thalassery St. Joseph’s School and head master in Chundel Roman Catholic High School in Wayanad.
